5th Annual Miles for Maddog 5K/10K Run & Walk

The 5th Annual Miles for Maddog, an officially timed race on a certified course and is a U.S. Track & Field sanctioned event, will he held on Saturday, June 21, 2025. This 10K Run / 5K Run & Walk / Virtual Race “Celebrates the Hearts and Soles of Organ and Tissue Donation” by honoring deceased donors, living donors, and transplant recipients. The 10K Run kicks off at 7:00am, with Opening Ceremonies at 8:30am followed by the 5K Walk & Run at 9:00am. The race starts and ends in the football stadium at Lincoln-Way North High School in Frankfort, with ample free parking. Everyone registered by May 1, 2025, is guaranteed an official race performance t-shirt, and awards are given to the top three female and top three male finishers in various age categories as well as to the overall 5K and 10K winners.

Miles for Maddog was inspired by 2019 Lincoln-Way East graduate Maddie "Maddog" Grobmeier, whose organ donations saved three lives, whose cornea donation gave sight to two people, and whose tissue donations improved the lives of countless others as far away as Seoul, South Korea.  

All race proceeds support the work of the Maddog Strong Foundation, whose mission is to to inspire the next generation of organ and tissue donation advocates by providing education, promoting donor registration, and encouraging conversations about this life-saving topic.
